Monday, December 16, 2019 – 9:30AM – 11:30AM
Take a Deeper Dive into Citizen Lobbyist Training with CSL – “Citizen Lobbyist Training”
Senior Planet Center 7585 E. Academy Blvd., Denver, CO 80230
Our Colorado Senior Lobby (CSL) Citizen Lobbyist Training is “non-partisan citizen lobbyist training” aimed at citizens who want to do more than vote; who want to actually influence policy and not just complain about it. For CSL, advocacy and “lobbying” are one in the same. When we lobby, we are advocating for (or against) public policy issues that impact older Coloradans. There are many steps involved in effective advocacy and we will be sharing those at this event.

More about Senior Planet
What is particularly special about the December 16th event is that it is being held at Senior Planet Colorado. Recently opened Senior Planet offers technology training programs to older adults through an ever-growing network of community partners around Colorado. Plan to attend this event so you can learn more about this great resource for older adults.

And Streaming!
We are also excited that Senior Planet tech support will be setting up this event to stream the audio and video online. For those of you outside of Denver metro area, or who cannot attend in person, you will be able to watch the event from your home computer. We do encourage in-person attendance if possible. We will have streaming instructions posted on the website on the home page.

So … what are you waiting for?

STEP UP – GET INVOLVED and attend these events. And after you register for these events, please join or renew your membership in Colorado Senior Lobby.

Your membership is critical to our success as a non-partisan organization, working to improve the lives of older Coloradans. At CSL we watch, read and study proposed legislation and then where needed, we inform and educate our legislators on the legislative proposals that make a difference to us, and to the older adults of Colorado that we advocate for.

We also want you to remember that our 100 Colorado legislators live in your community. They are your neighbors. Do you think it is possible for all 100 of those people to really understand the details of all of the legislation and how it impacts YOU? Trust us – they don’t. This is why your legislators need to hear from you so they know how bills impact you and your family. This is where Colorado Senior Lobby makes a difference in helping you and our Colorado legislators understand proposed the impact of proposed legislation on older adults, on you and your family.

RSVP today. Bring a friend or two. Spread the word about these events. And please join Colorado Senior Lobby for 2020.
