Colorado Senior Lobby members had a tour of the new Senior Planet office space in August. The space and concept are impressive. Senior Planet, the flagship program of the non-profit, Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) harnessing technology to transform the way we age. The new Senior Planet Center is funded by the Next50 Initiative will open its doors for registration on Monday, September 23rd.

The new location is in Denver at 7585 East Academy Boulevard. A Grand Opening Celebration is planning for October 24, 2019 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. We will have more details to share about this event in October. Meanwhile, take a look at their website –

The Senior Planet location is officially opening on Monday, 23rd. From Sept. 23rd to Oct. 4th the Senior Planet Center will be open from 10:00AM to 4:00PM to register for free courses, to become a member for free, to tour the center, to hang out in the lounge or at the hospitality bar, use the free Wi-Fi, and meet the Senior Planet Colorado Team. The Boomer Leading Change organization is hosting an event at Senior Planet on Wednesday, September 25th. The event entitled, “Technology Amplified with Boomers Leading Change and Senior Planet,” is a good introduction to not only Senior Planet but Boomers Leading Change. Here are the event details:

Join us in September for “Technology Amplified” from 5:30PM to 7:30PM. This event is for older adults who want to enhance their advanced skill sets using all manner of social media devices and applications; for those who may be wary of modern tech but are required to use portable devices; and the uninitiated novice who may be concerned by the universal usage and unhealthy addiction by so many adults and children. There will be a tour of the Senior Planet Colorado Exploration Center where people 60+ can learn, work, and explore new ways to thrive in today’s digital world.

Khristine Rogers, Senior Planet State Director will be participating in a panel discussion for Denver Startup Week. Senior Planet Colorado is excited to participate in an interactive Longevity Economy session. Denver Startup Week runs from September 16th through the 20th.

As a provider of programs designed to empower older adults to be better prepared to continue working, re-enter the workforce, and start new businesses, Senior Planet is proud to support and celebrate entrepreneurship.
