More about the Legislative Caucus on Aging (LCOA)

The Legislative Caucus on Aging’s (LCOA) formation resulted from the work and recommendations of the Strategic Action Planning Group on Aging (SAPGA). With a nearly 70% increase in people over 65 by the year 2030, the Planning Group wants to create a broader awareness of the challenges and opportunities associated with the aging population.  The LCOA will host venues to provide education and information about key issues affecting seniors including housing, transportation, caregiving, health care, elder abuse, public finance, community supports and more.

The Co-Chairs, Senator Beth Martinez-Humenik, Senator Todd, Representative Ginal, and Representative Beckman are interested in exploring how to improve the lives of the aging population and will work to assess legislative opportunities related to these topics and where appropriate, support and/or carry legislation.
